1. Meat contains the type of fat that stimulates production of inflammatory agents in the body.
2. Meat may produce "allergic" reactions that incite arthritis flare-ups because of individual reactions, probably inherited.
3. Some meats, particularly cured meats such as bac*n, h*m, hot dogs, cold cuts etc contain preservatives and other chemicals that trigger allergic arthritis reactions in some individuals. This is in addition to the inflammatory properties of the meat's fat.
